Tonsil Stones

Well I have tonsil stones, they are little white particles that get lodged in your tonsil's luckily i only have one but it drives me nuts, it feels like i have a little piece of chip lodged between my ear and my throat and i cannot get it out i've poked at it and poked at it and gargled and it's just frustrating i need some tips on how to get rid of this thing so if anybody has any ideas post a comment i need some answers.
